About Koh Samui

Koh Samui is a beautiful tropical island and the largest island in the Gulf of Thailand. It is surrounded by other tropical islands, notably Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. It also boasts the fantastic Angthong Marine Park just off its west coast.

Koh Samui has all that you would wish for from a tropical paradise, beautiful empty beaches with miles of white sand, clear blue seas, beautiful flora and of course the great weather this part of the world offers. However Koh Samui has several advantages over other similar islands. Thailand is a much sort after destination for many reasons, not least of which is the culture and the people. But even within Thailand Koh Samui offers the diversity that many people crave from a destination.

Because Koh Samui is the largest island in the region, it has the space to accommodate the livelier parts such as Cheweng while still offering vast areas of untouched tropical paradise, all within easy reach of each other. The size of the island also means that it has an international airport and ferry connections to the mainland, as well as the easiest routes to the smaller surrounding islands.

The nightlife has something to offer everyone from the basic night on the tiles to the sophistication of the 5 star hotels and restaurants spread around the island. Not to mention the availability of beautiful Thai cuisine available everywhere at very attractive prices. While nightlife is more concentrated in the north east of the island, there are hidden gems to discover all over Koh Samui. You can opt to discover the place for yourself on a budget or go for a bit of luxury and go upmarket and have everything done for you. The choice is yours.

Put all this together and it makes Koh Samui one of the most desirable places to visit in the world as well as an ideal stopping off or connection point for the rest of Thailand. For a visit, a second home or an investment Koh Samui is pretty hard to beat.
